For my baby girl

I swear it was yesterday. We were heading to the hospital to find out if we were about to be blessed with another son or a new daughter. I was so worried about leaving your big brother behind. My labor was fast and exciting. All the nurses working that shift were taking bets on what you would be. Anna my midwife arrived with no time to spare because you couldn't wait any longer. Next thing I knew I heard a loud squeal of delight from her " IT'S A GIRL! " The entire room started crying and clapping. I was lost in a river of tears because I was in shock. I swore you were a boy and I was scared to death of having a daughter. I couldn't stop crying, again. These were tears of joy, fear, shock, and love. I was an emotional wreck and I am thankful for that moment in time.
My dear baby girl, you have taught me so much about life. You made me a better person and showed me how much fun baby girls can be. You are truly a blessing to our family and cannot imagine my life without you. We love you so much! Happy 4th Birthday my sweet daughter!
